Janis Raskin has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. After spending 6 years at the Vista International hotel in New York City, she became the Director of Sales at the United Nations Plaza Hotel, and then took on the challenge of becoming the opening Director of Sales & Marketing at The Hilton at Short Hills. Following that, she was with the Hilton Worldwide Sales office in New York and represented international hotels for Sofitel. She has been in the same position as the hotel salespeople you are talking to, and knows how to create a win-win for you and the hotel.
For the past 11 years, Janis has been helping meeting planners find sites for their meetings, and helping them negotiate hotel contracts for all types of meetings and incentive programs. Janis has done site visits of over 700 hotels in the U.S. and overseas.
